The diagram illustrates the complete process of how Ethanol fuel is extracted and produced from corn. Overall, there are various steps involved and it takes about 3 days for the production after harvesting and storing the corn. The first step of the procedure is to collect the corn, which is then stored in the right conditions. After this, to start of with the fuel production, the corn is ground to a fine powder and this step is called milling. This corn powder is then cooked for about four hours. However, there is an additional ingredient added for cooking it and that is water. Post this, the cooked paste is allowed to ferment for about 48 hours. Once fermenting is complete, the liquid and solid by-products are seperated from the mixture. The liquid acquired is raw ethanol. In order to make the raw ethanol fit for use, it needs to be purified and this is done for about 5 hours. Now that we have purified ethanol, it is stored in the right conditions. The complete process ends with transporting the product to it's required destination.
