The current trend of sustainable development in the world is that economic development must be associated with social responsibility, and social responsibility is an issue that needs more and more attention from businesses. In my view, there should be a flexible method for each business when they try to catch the current trend. For example, because of their lack of resources, SME businesses don’t have to do both economic development and social responsibility. It must be their burden and maybe they will not maintain their position in the economic market. In contrast, voluntary is not the right choice for large businesses in this range. They must play a leadership role in ensuring sustainable development and social responsibility. They must do as much as they can because it not only bring benefits to their country but also their business’ reputation. We can take Google company as an example. No one can deny their fast result searching but maybe you do not know that they have a website called “Google Green” – their little but effective effort to use resources efficiently and support renewable power. Google Clean was established in 2007 and tried to make as much effort as they could such as reducing city transport emissions with Maps and AI. So in conclusion, each business should consider their size of business to ensure both economic development and social responsibility
