The coal mine and its development into a visitor attraction

The given maps illustrate significant changes in a coal mine transformed into a tourism park. Overall, it is clear that the site developed substantially from a soulless area to a tourist attraction. Similarly, infrastructure and amenities increased, along with the site's capacity to provide for tourists. As the first plan reveals, the original mine had various parts. The coal mine entrance was to the north, and welfare facilities such as a dining room and dressing rooms were situated in the north west. In contrast, the car park was unspoilt. To the east, the mine offered two landfill sites. However, the site was supplanted a place of interest with dramatic growth. The coal main entrance was repurposed the visitor entrance, and similarly, the dining room and the staff change rooms were transformed into a museum. The two waste sites were drained and demolished in order to construct a driving circuit as well as pond. A walking track was added between the entrance and the driving circuit. Regarding recreation, a children's playground was built in the south east corner of the park. Finally, to cater for tourists, the medical centre was cleared and become a cafe.
