The proportion of income spent on different areas by one university from 2005 to 2015 is clearly illustrated by the charts given. Overall, the two charts bear resemblance to the other; although there are some differences, both minor and remarkable ones. One of the most prominent features is that in both years nearly half their income was invested in teaching and research, although there are fluctuations. In addition, the budget for the financial support for students was still at one over twenty of the total income, nearly reaching a tenth of the spendings by the year 2015. Going through the 10-year period, the financial investment in libraries was decreased by 5% in 2015. In the administration and management section, it is estimated to make up more than 5% of the 2005’s revenue spent, however in the year 2015 the number is one-fifth. Furthermore, whilst in 2005 the university allocated nearly 20% of their earnings on accommodation, by 2015 it saw its decrease by half. Radical changes of most of the segments there are, the budget spent on campuses’ maintenance was still at a standstill. In conclusion, this educational institution shows its preference over education and research. However, the two years also have differences in budget distribution.
