The charts below show the percentage of water used for different purposes in six areas of the world

The pie charts illustrate the percentage of the utilized water in industry, agriculture and domestic purposes in six areas of the world. Overall, it is clear from the charts that Europe and North America use almost half of their amount of water in the field of industry, while central Asia, Africa and south east Asia use over three quarters of their water in the agricultural purposes. In addition, the domestic purposes use the least amount of water in the six areas of the world. In the field of industry, Europe uses the highest amount of water followed by the north America where they use 53% and 48%, respectively. On the other hand, central Asia uses the least quantity of water for industrial issues as it is represented in the chart by only 5%. Central Asia, Africa and south east Asia utilize most of their water for agricultural purposes where they use 88%, 84% and 81%, respectively. 71% of water in south America is used in agriculture while 39% and 32% of water in north America and Europe are used in agriculture, respectively. In south America, Europe and north America, people use higher amounts of water for domestic issues in comparison with people in Africa, central Asia and south east Asia where they use double the amount approximately.
