The pie charts compare how water is used in six regions of the world for various purposes. Overall, in for areas the significant share of total water is used for agricultural purposes, while in two other regions almost half of the water is allocated to the industrial use. According to the pie charts, North America uses about 48% of water for industrial purposes, also the same amount is used by Europe by a margin of 4%. Furthermore, both these two areas allocate about one quarter to agricultural use and also, they consume 13% and 15% of water for household use respectively. The three other regions including Africa, Central Asia, and South East Asia have the same usage of water. All of them use roughly 80% for cultivation. (84%, 88% and 81% respectively), whereas South East Asia is responsible for more use of water for industrial purposes (12%), both South East Asia and Central Asia use the same percentage for domestic use (7%). Moreover, just 9% is allocated to domestic use in Africa. Finally, South America has a highest proportion of domestic use between all areas with 10% household use.
