The line graph compares the price of banana in Japan, France, Germany and USA over a period of 8 years. Overall, banana was the costliest for the given period in Japan, whereas, bananas were the cheapest for the same period in USA. In addition, the cost of bananas in Germany and Japan increased, but remained unchanged in France. In 1996, in Japan and France, bananas were sold at 2 USD/kg but the cost of bananas in Germany and USA was 1. 5 USD/kg and 1 USD/kg respectively. For the next two years there was a rapid increase from 2 USD/kg to 3 USD/kg in Japan. Meanwhile France remained stable and a slight increment of 0. 25 USD/kg was shown by Germany and USA. From 1998 to 2004, the price of banana in USA was constant with 1. 25 USD/kg but all other countries showed variations. By 2004, the cost of bananas in Japan was 2. 5 USD/kg, France USD/ kg and Germany 1. 75 USD/kg.
