The two given charts show detail information on the top of five supermarkets in the United Kingdom in aspects including number of employees, their market share and how many stores they are owner in September 2003. To sum up, Tesco had the highest number of employees likewise it accounted the biggest percentage in The United Kingdom Market in this year. Turning to the details, look at the first chart, Tesco has 200 000 staffs and 119 stores in the UK. In contrast with this competitor, Morrisons supermarket has merely 46 000 staffs whereas it has the biggest amount of stores in this country, 730 stores. In addition, Asda and J. Sainsbury supermarket had a similar figures for employees also number of stores, 490 and 463 stores respectively. Moving on the second given chart, even if having the biggest amount of stores, Morrisons captured merely 6% in market. What is more, Tesco accounted for 26% in market share, which is the highest percentage share. Following this, supermarkets have lower market share including Asda, J. Sainbury and Safeway, 17%, 16. 2% and 10% repestively.
