You should spend about 20 minutes on this task. The chart shows the unemployment situation in Australia in the year 2012. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant. You should write at least 150 words.

The graph illustrates the percentage of jobless people of Australia in 2012. To begin with the situation in rural area, it was serious in the beginning of the year. It started at approximately 6. 5% at the first quarter and decreased steadily to around 4. 5% at the end of second quarter. There was a gradually growth in the third quarter at nearly 5. 5% and levelled off at 5% at the end of the year. Differ from rural area, the trend in urban area was more fluctuated. It was just over 2% in January. There was a steady rose from first quarter to the end of second quarter and increased by 4%. It was followed by a rapidly decline to around 2% nearly the end of third quarter. However, it rose slightly and ended at nearly 4. 8%. To sum up, the unemployment rate of urban area is less than urban area. There was a huge difference at the beginning and become closer at the end of 2012.
