The map illustrates plans for two possible sites for a shopping mall in the city of Brandfield. It can be seen that the two sites under consideration are in the north and the south east of the town. At the first glance, it is evident that, there are some similarities of both proposed sites (S1 and S2). Both places are surrounded by the main road, the railway, and the city center. Moreover, they are almost equally close from the golf course and park area on the west. However, there are some differences of both locations. It can be seen that, the first proposed site S1 is close to both the housing estate and city center. Here, the railway facilities would allow the residents and visitors to have easy access to the shopping complex. Also, there is a river that passes near S1. On the other hand, S2 is in the south - east of the city. Unlike S1, it is a long way away from the housing estate and that probably makes this place a poor site for building a shopping mall. However, it is quite close to the industrial estate and the city center. It is also having a good connectivity by road and rail.
