The measurement unit is percentage. Overall, as the reach of internet increased enormously, usage of social media platform also increased in the same manner. Through the year from 2016 to 2019 a steady rasie can bve seen in the social media activity. On the contrary, if we look into the ideal purpose for which phones were discovered on the first place i. e. phone calls had been decreased over the same tenure. To begin with, lets look into the development of social media activity. First of all, in year 2016, social networks was a reason for 50% of teenager to use the cellular devices. However, slight dip can be observed in the year 2017 as percentage drop by 2%. Adding on, the rise of social media did not stop there as usage increased in the year 2018 by becoming 21% and 56% in 2019. Furthermore, lets check the other reasons where phones were least used. Primarily, phone were discovered so that people could communicate quickly with each other by mean of phone calls. To continue, phone calls usage among teenager decreased over the time as 13% of usage in year 2017 was the best performance. Like phone calls, Emails had a same fate as usage of email decrease at steady rate from 2016 to 2019. In 2016, email usage was on 25 % and it drop to 19 % in 2019.
