The given bar graph illustrates information about the amount of money doctors and other labourer got paid in seven different countries: France, Italy, Czech Republic, Germany, Finland, Switzerland and the US in a particular year, 2004. At first glance, doctors in all the seven countries were paid significantly more than other workers. Another point standing out is that the US workers earned the most in both the medical profession and other occupations.
Looking at the details, doctors in the most countries were paid more than twice as much as other labourers’ salary except for in Switzerland where doctors were paid around $70, 000 while other workers were paid $40, 000. In three countries: Italy, Czech Republic, and Germany, the income of the other labourer was only one-third of their counterparts’ salary. Workers except for doctors earned approximately $20, 000 on average whilst doctors made over $60, 000 apiece.
As regards American doctor, they earned the most among these seven countries with $120, 000 annual income, whereas other workers also had the highest income of all seven countries at just over $40, 000, which means the doctor tripled the income of other labourers.
