The chart illustrates weekly expenditure per a person on junk foods in Britain measured in Pence. And the graph gives information on the quantity of fast food eaten by the British people from 1970 t o 1990. However, measurement is in grammes. Overall, it is clear that purchase of fast food was higher among the top income earners and least among the low income people. And pizza as well as hamburger followed an upward trend throughout the twenty years period while fish and chips went downward within the same years. Firstly, the upper class spent more money on all the snacks except for chips and fish that the middle class topped the purchase with about 7pounds difference. One rich person used a little less than 40pounds every week on hamburger, bought pizza of almost 20pounds and fish and chips of approximately 18pounds. On the other hand, the low income earners spent more money on fish and chips than they did for any other junk with the figure of 17pound for sea food and fries per person each week, 16pounds for hamburger and 17pounds for pizza respectively. For the pattern of intake, between 1970 and 1990, the trend of ingestion of hamburger and pizza steadily increased throughout the years. Hamburger began with roughly 100 grammes in 19970 and grew substantially across the years reaching it peak of more than 500grams in 1990. Whereas, pizza was the highest with almost 300grammes in the first year and went down gradually to the least of 220 grammes in the last year.
