The chart illustrates the proportion of people visiting a cinema during seven days of the week in a European nation from 2003 to 2007. Overall, it is clear that people in this country tended to go to the cinemas on a Friday and the weekend rather than the rest of the week, as the figures for those days were much higher. Specifically, Saturday observed the largest percentage of visitors to movie theaters over the period shown. In 2003, 40% of people went to cinemas on a Saturday, compared to 30% on Friday or Sunday each. On the other days, the proportion of movie-goers fluctuated within the range from around 10% to 20%. Noticeably, Tuesday was the highest with 20%, while the lowest figure can be seen on Monday, at only 10%. After 2 years, the ratio among 7 days almost stayed the same. The share of people going to the cinema on weekends increased slightly to 45% and 35% on Saturday and Sunday respectively. Except for a 4% increase seen in the figures for Monday, the remaining days showed the opposite trend. In 2007, a slight drop of 2% was recorded on weekends’ proportion, while 2%and 4% more people chose Tuesday and Thursday. Fewer people went to see movies on Monday and Wednesday, with the figures falling to 11% and 9% respectively. Finally, the proportion of movie-goers on a Friday remained at 30% during the three examined years.
