Export is one of the main sources of income for a country and many of the operations are dependent completely on the export that a country makes with other countries worldwide. It plates a major role in having a friendly relationship with other countries. Here a comparison of various export categories for the year 2015 and 2016 have been shown.
The first graph depicts the different product categories producing respective income and a comparison is being made for the year 2015 and 2016. Among these product categories petroleum has been the highest grossing category garnishing about 62 to 64 billion dollars respectively in the years 2015 and 2016 respectively. Whereas textiles has been the lowest grossing category with around 26 to 30 billion dollars respectively. The next highest grossing category is the engineered goods although they are on par with petroleum products for the year 2016 they had a dip in the year 2015. However gems and jewelry products have seen a dip of about 5% from 2015 whereas agricultural products are going good with around 30billion dollars earned.
As in the case of the percentage changes textile industry has seen a surge to upto 15% from 2015 to 2016 where as gems and jewelry have seen a decrease of 5% but all other categories have seen a surge at an average of 4% which is a good sign but a slight importance needs to be given for the development of agricultural products since the increase is slightly less than 1%.
Thus with the data we can understand the importance of export with respect to improving a country's economy and also how one government should throw light on these aspects since a small hindrance to this sector would lead to a loss of many other sectors. Thus export adds to being one of the backbones for a country's economy.
