The chart below shows the total number of minutes (in billions) of telephone call in the UK, divided into three categories, from 1995-2002.

The given bar chart compares three different types of telephone calls in terms of billions of minutes in the United Kingdom over the seven year period. Overall, it is clear that the local-fixed line by far was the most popular type of telephone, while the rapid growth of mobile call can be seen and the gaps between these three categories become narrow over the period shown. Looking at the information in more detail, we can see that in 1995 over 70 billion of minutes for local calls and this figures increased gradually to 95 billion at the end of 1999, which is the highest number figure on the chart, but fell back to around 70 billion in 2002. There was a slight rise in the minutes for national and international calls from nearly 35 billion minutes in 1995 to just over 60 billion minutes 7 years later, in 2002. Finally, mobile calls grow slightly during the first four years of the given period, however, this figure increased significantly by around 30 billion minutes between the year 1999 and 2002.
