Overall, as can be seen, the total income of Fairtrade tea tended to increase all the countries surveyed from 2010 to 2015. Another visible trend is that the Fairtrade pineapples sales rose in 3 out of the 5 areas, especially Austria during the same period.
In terms of sales of tea, the sale number of Fairtrade-labelled tea in Austria was 4 million euros in 2010. The figure in Germany, France, Norway and Netherlands were lower, at 2. 8, 2. 5, 2 and 1. 8 million euros respectively. In the year 2015, the sale figure for France was a significant growth and peak at the highest revenue, at 21 million euros, while Austria, Germany, Netherlands and Norway witnessed a slight jump in tea sales, at 8, 3, 2. 7 and 2 million euros respectively.
As regards to Fairtrade pineapples sales, the total revenue of Austria increased dramatically to 32 million euros (from 16 to 48 million) in 2010, whereas in France and Netherlands only grew from 2-6. 5 million and 1. 6-5 million euros respectively. By contrast, the period from 2010 to 2015 saw a slow decline in pineapples sales in Norway and Germany, with from 2. 8-2 and 3-1. 9 million euros respectively.
