The bar chart illustrates the sales for three kinds of Mary’s cookies (chocolate chip, oatmeal and butter) from 2001 to 2003 in the thousands of dollars.
In 2001, chocolate chip cookie sales were the most at approximately $125, 000 followed by oatmeal sales at close to $75, 000. However, in 2002 oatmeal cookie sales dramatically increased and surpassed chocolate chip to become the top seller at about $245, 000 whereas chocolate chip cookies sold at around $200, 000. In 2003, both chocolate chip and oatmeal increased sales significantly by around $50, 000 to end at approximately $250, 000 and $300, 000, respectively.
On the other hand, butter cookie sales were low in comparison to the other two starting at just above $50, 000 and decreasing steadily to near $40, 000 in 2003.
Overall, between 2001 and 2003 the sales of chocolate chip and oatmeal cookies rose dramatically while the sales of butter cookies were significantly less than chocolate chip and oatmeal and decreased slightly.
