The chart below shows the results of a survey about people’s coffee and tea buying and drinking habits in five Australian cities.

The bar chart compares the survey results of people who are habitual to buy and drink coffee and tea in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Hobart, which are the cities of Australia. Overall, more than half of the population in all cities, except Adelaide, went to a café for coffee or tea, while buying instant coffee was also popular, and buying fresh coffee generally less common. With regards to people who went to a café for coffee or tea was highest in Hobart and Melbourne which were slightly less than 65%, followed by Sydney which was just above 60%, and finally in Brisbane and Adelaide it was just around 55% and nearly 50% respectively. In terms of fresh coffee, the percentage of Brisbane and Adelaide was almost exactly the same, accounted for nearly 35%. The ratio of Sydney and Melbourne was slightly similar, between 40 and 45 percent, whilst in Hobart it was close to 40%. Regarding instant coffee, it was stood at near to 45%, just above 50%, and almost 50% in Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide sequentially. However, in Brisbane and Hobart it was in between 50 and 55 percent.
