The chart below shows the number of trips made by children in one country in 1990 and 2010 to travel to and from school using different modes of transport. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The multi-line bar graph illustrates the number of trips made by students between the age of 5 to 12 to travel to and from school using various transport methods in the year 1990 and 2010 respectively per year in millions. Overall, children have made their journey mostly by walking in the year1990 about more than 12 million, which has decreased to a value of 6 million times. whereas, in 2010 travel is mostly done by a car that is approximately 11 million, which was at the lowest value in the recorded first year 1990 about 4 million. To begin with, in 1990 and 2010 most of the children preferred traveling to and from school using a car, walking, cycling, walking and bus, and bus. It is seen that in 1990, 5 million of travel has been done by kids to go to school after that cycling or walking and bus has been used approximately 6 million times per year. on the other hand, in the year 2010, there has been shown a decreasing trend throughout the given modes of transport and in the last but not the least the bus was used 5 million times by students to go to school in a year.
