The bar graph shows the number of men and women studying in further education in Britain over three period and whether they studies full time or part time back then.
In all years and in both genders the number of those who continued their education in a part-time mode was significantly higher than those studying in full-time mode. In males for example in the years 1970 and 1971 the number of males studying part-time was around 1000 in further education which is drastically higher as compared to the number of men studying full-time. Moreover another example is in the years 1980 and 1981, the number of males in part time higher education was around 900 which is significantly greater than those enrolled in full time education. In order to emphasize this claim, in females as well the number of those with part-time education is larger than females taking full-rime education. For instance, in the years 1990 and 1991 the number of females registered in parttime studies was around 1000 which is five more times higher than that of females registered for a full time education.
In addition to that the bar graph clearly shows that there is a noticeable great growth in the number of females taking part time further education throughout the three periods. This number elevated from around 700 in the 1970’s to reach approximately 1100 in the 1990’s. full time female students also increased throughout the three periods but the increase was not as significant as that regarding the part-time system. Nevertheless, in males it is noted that in the year 1980 and 1981 a decrease in both part time and full time further studies was shown with around 800 thousands and 100 thousands respectively. Moreover in the 1990’s the number of both part time and full time education increased again to reach around 900 thousands for part time and around 200 thousands for full time education. However, one must note that between all three period for men the number for both type of higher education was the most superior.
As the periods passed in Britain the number of part time education was always higher in both gender. However in females the number increased throughout the years, wgereas in men it fluctuated but was still less than in 1970.
