The bar chart gives information about how many crimes were committed in Ipswich over a period of two years, starting in 2007. Overall, it can clearly be seen from the chart that there was a decrease in the number of criminals in the first three categories, namely murder, assault and burglary, with the exception of theft and robbery increased significantly. Besides that, people, who were assaulter, were considered to be the most common recorded crime in the comparison to the other crimes in 2007 and 2008. Looking at the first group for more details, it is evident that murder stood at approximately 200 in 2007, before falling down to 180 in 2008. In 2009, it reached a down of just over 150. Offenders who had a run – in with the law because of assaulting fluctuated from 250 in 2007 to about 225 in 2009. Although the number of people who carried out this crime dropped over the given period, they were considered to be the highest in two years, 2007 and 2008.
