The chart below shows a comparison of different kinds of energy production in France in 1995 and 2005 v. 1
The pie charts compare energy production from various sources in France in two years 1995 and 2005.
It is clear that the percentage of energy produced from Coal was by far highest in both years. Additionally, while energy production from coal, gas, nuclear and other types of energy all increased in 2005, there was a slight decrease in the figure for Petro.
In 1995, the proportion of energy production from Coal was highest, at precisely 29. 80%, while the figure for Gas was slightly lower, at 29. 63%. About 29. 27% of total energy was Petro compared to approximately 6. 4% from nuclear, whereas other sources made up a very small percentage of the total production, at 4. 9%.
In 2005, the rate of energy created from Coal increase to 30. 93% and became the highest in the chart. Meanwhile, the figure for Gas rose gradually to 30. 31%. Petro' s energy production was a dramatic decrease of nearly 9. 72% to 19. 55%. There were sharp increases in the figures for Nuclear and other sources went up to 10. 10% and 9. 10% respectively.
