The chart below gives information on the percentage of British people giving money to charity by age range for the years 1990 and 2010.

The chart shows changes in the percentage of money given to charity by 5 age groups of British people (18-25, 26-35, 36-50, 51-65 and >65) from 1990 to 2010. Overall, the percentage in 1990 was higher than in 2010. With group 36-50 and 51-56 as the groups with the highest percentage in 1990 and 2010 respectively, while group 18-25 was the group with the lowest percentage over the period. Some of the age groups showing an improvement in the percentage in the chart while others showing deterioration. The percentage of people aged 18-25 giving money to charity was above 15% in 1990 but dropped to slightly above 5% in 2010. Then, about 30% of people aged 26-35 giving money to charity in 1990 and slightly below 30% of them in 2010. Lastly, the chart shows that about 40% of people aged 36-50 giving their money to charity in 1990 and about 35% of them in 2010. In addition to that, the chart shows that 35% and about 30% of age group 51-65 and >65 are giving their money to charity in 1990 while about 40% and 35% of them giving their money to charity in 2010 respectively.
