The bar chart below illustrates the percentage of people with different levels of education of Bulgarians who have emigration intentions to another country from 2002 to 2008. Overall, it is clear that the number of people with secondary education is always the highest, and the secondary, higher education tends to decline, the primary and lower one tends to rise.
In 2002, the ratio of people who finished secondary school is 65%, almost four times higher than the number of people in the other two groups. And this number, in 2006, has a decrease of about 4% compared to 2002. Meanwhile, the portion of higher education increases to 20%, only 1% greater than the primary and lower education.
Then, after 2 years, the number of people with higher education drop dramatically, 2 times less than before. And because secondary education is quite stable, only 2% off, there is a significant change in the number of people with primary and lower students. This number increased from 19% to 32% in just 2 years.
