The bar graph below shows the amount of carbon emissions in different countries during three different years.
The bar chart illustrates carbon emission, measured in thousand metric tonnes in six different countries in 1975, 1990 and 2005. Overall, the quantity of carbon emission produced by Germany and UK fell gradually, while there was a dramatic increase in other countries. In addition, the figure for USA was higher than in other nations. In 1975, around 1200000 thousand metric tonnes were produced by USA and this rose rapidly, reaching a peaked of approximately 1600000 thousand metric tonnes in 2005. Although the amount of carbon emission in India was lowest in 1975, there was slight increase in 2005, which rose to over 300000 thousand metric tonnes. By contrast, in 1975, the amount of carbon emission in China was over 300000 thousand metric tonnes, compared with under 200000 thousand metric tonnes in UK and Canada. Although between 1975 and 1990, the figures for Germany is the same, at under 300000 thousand metric tonnes, the amount of carbon emission measured peaked in 2005 in China at over 1500000 thousand tonnes and over 200000 thousand metric tonnes were produced in Germany, compared with under 200000 thousand metric tonnes in UK and Canada.
