The charts illustrate energy consumption from different energy resources of the UK and the USA for the years 2000 and 2006. Overall, at the beginning of the period oil accounted for the highest rates for both countries’ energy consumption while nuclear power and other renewable sources were at least. However, the situation was changed at the end – coal sector significantly decreased but gas shows sharp growth for these two countries. According to the chart, UK’s oil consumption and other renewable resources show a slight increase around 2-3% starting from 2o% gas consumption almost doubled after six years. Although the coal sector comprised 30% of the UK’s energy consumption at the end of the period fall at approximately 15%. The other decreased sector was nuclear power, which started from 15%, resents about 7% decrease. Now turning to the details about the USA’s energy consumption rates. There are coal, nuclear power and other renewable sources experienced a little bit decrease. On the other hand, gas consumption rose considerably from about 10% to approximately 25 %. According to statistics oil sector‘s growth was not significant.
