The bar chart illustrates the number of learners divided into two genders choosing six major subjects at an American university in the year 2010.
Overall, what is noticeable from the chart is that three subjects which are marketing, accounting and finance were selected by the majority of students while others were less popular especially in women.
As is observed from the given data, finance ranked the first place as the subject were studied the most in both male and female. Interestingly, the quantity of both genders were exactly the same at about 230 students. Following in the second place belonged to accounting with 200 women and 170 men. Likewise, learners who studied markerting had a little more female than male similar to accounting with fewer people, just under 123 feminine.
Unlike those three subjects above, there was not much difference between the choices of two sex compared to mathematics and economics fields. The most noticeable highlight here was the contrast between the number of male and female studied mathematics respectively 200 and over 50. Similar to economics which had double in men with 150 students but only 75 women. Whereas, different from those two subjects, engineering was remarkable with the fewest learners and its correspondence between two genders which was only 4 to 5 students imbalance.
