From the chart, it is clearly seen that all of the countries except Germany, produce more than they consume.
The leading countries of the top are China, where 5, 398 and 5, 322 billion kWh were produced and consumed respectively, and the USA, where 4, 099 billion kWh were produced and 3, 866 billion kWh were consumed by the population. Russia leads the rest of the countries, producing 1058 and consuming 1037 billion kWh of electricity, followed by Japan, that makes 936. 2 billion and consumes 856. 7 billion kWh of electricity. The 5th and 6th places of the top are occupied by India and Canada, with India producing and consuming 871 billion kWh and 698. 8 billion respectively. Canada has slightly lower numbers in both, with 618. 9 billion consumed and 499. 9 billion produced. The other countries followed the same pattern of decrease. The only exception was Germany, that consumed more than in produced, with 526. 6 and 582. 5 billion kWh in consumption and production
