The given bar charts provides the data about the percentage the people who lived in urban areas in various regions around the world from 1950 to 2007 and prediction for 2050. Overall, it is clear that Latin America / Caribbean and North America will have the largest population in urban regions by 2050. Africa and Asia had less population than any other countries with 15 and 17 per cent respectively, while North America and Oceania had the highest number of citizens in rural areas in 1950. North America and Oceania had the same level of people living in urban areas, whereas the number of urban areas' people experienced had significant growth to 37 and 41 per cent respectively in 2007. In addition, Europe and Oceania had the same number of individuals are living in rural regions with 71 and 72 per cent in the same time.
