This table illustrator the numbers and percentages of of families who facing poverty-stricken in Australia in 1999. The families are divided into six groups by their age, children in the family and their marital status. According to the given data, 11% of the Australian household living in the poverty in year 1999. And the families are categorised into two main groups. The poorer group and the less poor group. From the table it shows that 4% of single aged person, 4% of aged person and 7% of couple with no children have less poverty rate. On the other hand, 19% of the singles with no children, 21% of single parent and 12% couple with children have more poverty rate. This shows that the singles facing less poverty as compared to the couples. Furthermore, the senior citizen also has a less poverty rate of 4% and the single aged couple with the 6% respectively. The ratio of the destitute depends on the family structure that various accordingly.
