Overall, Carbon dioxide emissions in metric tonnes of the United Kingdom and Sweden gradually went down during the 40 years period. While metric tonnes percentages of Italy and Portugal went up in chart. Despite steady decrease from 11 to 9 rate, emissions in the UK remained higher than in the other three countries over these 40 years. Sweden's emissions suddenly rose to 10. 5 in 1977 but since that descended roughly 5 metric tonnes in 2007. The rate is one of the smallest emitters of four countries that year. Percentage of average carbon emission steadily climbed in Italy. The first emission in metric tonnes started to 4 ratio from 1967, and finally reached almost 8 ratio from 2007. The smallest average ratio is Portugal.
