The data illustrates the expenditure done by the citizen of different countries on various items such as Food/Drinks/Tobacco, Clothing/Footwear, Leisure/Education in the year 2002. Every country has its own income and expenditure likewise, the proportion is calculated on their overall income, even though the percentage on the expenditure of two items is the same but it doesn’t imply that they are equal in amount. The consumer spending is done of five nations- Ireland, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Turkey. In the national expenditure of a country, the maximum proportion on food products is spent by Turkey followed by Ireland and by comparison the minimum is spent by Sweden. Meanwhile, the least amount as per the percentage is spent on Leisure/Education in all the given countries and the highest and lowest spending is on clothing/footwear by Italy and Sweden respectively. To sum up, we can say that the countries spent the most on food products and minimum on Leisure/Education; For instance, In Spain approx 19% is the expenditure done on food and almost 2% of spending on Leisure/Education.
