The first reason is that, it is a sign of respect to follow the traditions and customs of a country. In contrast, by not adapting to the culture, it is possibly to deeply offend or insult a local person, which could lead to an unpleasant situation. Consequently, local community neither like you as businessman nor as a tourist. In addition, in some countries, cultural rules are fixed, and non-compliance is punishable by law.
