This system starts when there is rain, the slope in every roof naturally directs the rain water into the gutters, then into an underground drain pipe. A main drain pipe leading to a water treatment facility collects the rain water from all houses in the area. In the facility the water is filtered to remove contaminants like leaves, twigs and dirt. Then the filtered water is pumped and stored in giant storage tanks. This stored water is then pumped into a water treatment tank, here chemicals are added to remove any impurities that wasn't filtered by the filter, harmful dissolved gases and to disinfect the water from harmful bacteria. After letting the chemicals to purify the water for a while, the water is pumped back to the houses for domestic usage. This is an ingenious way of utilizing the rain water than just letting it to be soaked up by the ground.
