There are conflicting views about what is the best way to travel in a city. While some people believe that public transportation is a great choice, others believe the metro is a much better way to travel around the city. In my opinion, I both agree and disagree with this statement. On the one hand, there are many kinds of public transportation which are suitable for people of all ages, such as buses, trains, . . For example, elderly people can not walk too far so they can come and wait from the nearest bus station from their house and wait for the bus they want to go. On the other hand, travel by public transportation is quite inconvenient during the rush hour, the whole street will be filled up with cars, motorbikes, . . so the big public transportation like bus will be very hard to go. First of all, the metro is one of the most modern transport humans have created. It is attributable to the fact that the metro can move very fast while it has its own path underground, it will not be affected by private transportation. Moreover, it also helps protect the environment and save fossil fuels while running by electricity. However, the government will have to invest a lot of money to build up the metro which means our taxes will grow up, our country will develop slowly while spending too much money on building the metro. In conclusion, travelling by public transportation will both have drawbacks and benefits but in my opinion, I would prefer travelling by metro due to its fast and convenience.
