The graph indicates the cost of oil and global food from 2000 to 2011 in terms of points and us dollar per barrels. Overall, the number of food price index and THE COST OF oil price increased significantly. Noticeably, the middle of 2018 marked a rapid rise in both figures. Looking at the chart for more details, standing at 90 points, the figure for food cost fluctuated in first three years and rose steadily by 80 in 2007. After that, it experienced a dramatic jump to over 220 points by 2008, four time as many as it was in the first year. Then it declined steeply before hitting the highest point at 240 in the ending year, rising 190 points during the period. In 2000, the number of oil prices was $20, followed that it showed a slightly upward trend to $60 by 2007. In the next year, the figure climbed considerably by $70, sixfold as it was in the year 2000. Then it dropped significantly and stood at under $100, increasing $180 throughout the given time.
