The bar chart demonstrates the proportion of households keeping and lending accommodation in 2 outlined places, consisting of England, and Wales. From the presented diagram, it can be observed that there was a dramatic fluctuation in the rate of households in owned accommodation and rented accommodation. In terms of lent households, the percentage of this kind of household decreased from about 78% (in 1918) to 68% (1939). 14 years later, the number of people who lent their house remained unchanged. From 1953 to 2001, the proportion of owned households dwindled dramatically to 30%. But in 2011, this proportion increased to 34%. Moving onto the households in owned, it saw a different pattern.
