The bar chart shows the number of male and female participants have joined in the olympics from 1924 up to 2012. Whereas, the line graph shows the number of participants have joined the Olympics in the same period. Overall, it is clear that male pariticipants always outnumbered the female. In 1924, the number of female players were approximately 100 while there were 3000 male players and the total participants was around 3100. On the other hand, in 2012, the differences between numbers of female players and male players has been decreased but male players were still more than female players. The participants in 2012 have significantly increased with approximately 11000.
