Noise complaints from 1980 to 1996 in the City of Newtown.

Noise complaints from 1980 to 1996 in the City of Newtown. Nlnwb
As we can see in the chart above, the reasons behind noise complaints in the City of Newtown can be summarized in the next categories: -Road works-Traffic noise-Factories-Household/domesticFrom the above reasons, we can clearly notice a steady decline in noise complaints due to roadworks startting on 1980, this mainly due to the investment in infraestructure done by the city council has been decreasing year after year. However, we can not say the same about household/domestic related complaints, which during 1996 reach peak hights at 1200 complaint calls a year from the 500 registered a decade and half before, a reason to explain this might be the rising population in the area and the elevated rate of domestic violence registered due to alcohol consumption. Finally, is pertinent to notice that the industrial activity in Newtown has not change that much since the late 80s and, even with the increase in trafic seen after the first years of the 90s, we have seen an semi-stagnation on complaints in this two categories at around 600-650 calls per year.
