The graph shows how many single-family houses were built in different are of the United State in each of the years from 2006 and 2010. There was a significant difference in the number of houses built in each region, and these numbers all dropped between 2006 to 2010. The number of houses built in each region differed significantly. In each of the year shown on the graph, the most house were built in the South. About 900, 000 new houses were built there in 2006. This number dropped to just 300, 000 in 2010, the years with the least construction. However, it was the highest number of all regions. The region with the lowest number of houses built in each of the years was the Northeast. Under 200, 000 new houses were built there in 2006 and fewer than 100, 000 were built in 2010. In all the region shown on the graph, 2006 was the year with the most construction, and the numbers decreased steadily until 2010. In three of the regions, the numbers rose slightly or stayed steady from 2010 to 2012. In the Northeast, the numbers continued to drop. In general, there were big differences in the number of houses built in the various regions of the country, but most of the regions seem to follow the same rising and falling trends.
