Modern science has learnt to control natural threats and we have much less to fear than we did in the past. LbrKG
Natural disasters have been man’s enemies since day one. When they occur, lives are lost, facilities are damaged and destroyed, and therefore the economy drops dramatically. As science has developed from time to time, scientists now have ways to control the dangerous threats, but how effective can they be? In my opinion, natural threats can be controlled by modern science, though only partially. What are natural threats? Natural threats are disasters that happen naturally which is threatening to living beings. Moreover, people have struggled for a long time to know how to control them. Still, nature is a powerful being on its own. Humans, even with modern knowledge and equipment, cannot fully control the disaster it makes. Take floods for an example. Floods are very common in Asian countries to say the least, and every time they occur, not only lives are lost, crops that the farmers have grown for the longest time also dies which result in a drastic fall in economy. Though people have come up with multiple ways to deal with the disaster, such as growing crops on higher grounds and building buildings that prevent floods from coming into the village. It is important to have control over natural threats, but a more effective way is to know how to. first, predict the disasters in the first place, knowing how and when these threats take place and then come up with solutions to help prevent and have control over them. This will definitely help save a lot of people and crops, therefore saving the economy so humans can be less fearful of natural threats.
