Map dipiction analyze Task 1 IELTS GlEdx
The maps depict the layout of the city River town, showing how it was organized in 1950 and developed by the year 2000. Overall, the maps show that River Town has replaced wooden areas with both improvements and residential, and non-residential within these years, as well as the increasing population in this area. There is only one area, which is close to the river, that basically remained the same till 2000. It is the area where the church and Ben’s house still can be found on the map of River town in 2000. Nevertheless, River town experienced significant changes through this period. In 1950, the area behind Sam’s house, church, and the bookstore was full of woods. By 2000, these forested areas had been logged for houses and school. The school, which was closer to the river, was replaced and expanded. On its place were built new Apartment Complex and cafe. The other side of the river experienced changes too. It was also cleared of trees, and the region was converted into a non-residential district with a new hospital, museum, and shopping center.
