Line graph of meat consumption
Line graph of meat consumption Jqd9j
The line graph reveals the number of fish and various kinds of meat consumed in a European country over the period of 25 years starting from 1979. Overall, the consumption of beef, lamb and fish declined over the period, while the amount of chicken that was consumed increased dramatically.
In 1979, the most popular consumption of these meats was beef, being eaten more than 200 grams per person per week. This was far higher than the amount of lamb, chicken, and fish which were consumed approximately 150, 140, and 60 grams per person per week, accordingly. Although the consumption of beef briefly fell after 1979, it gradually sharply rose to the highest at around 240 grams per person per week in 1984. Then, there was a slight fall of it. Afterwards, the consumption of beef, lamb, and fish shows a similar pattern/trend, since the graph shows a short rise of them after 1984 and significantly declined over the remaining timeframe to finish at just under 150 grams per person per year.
On the other hand, the consumption of chicken shows a different trend. The graph began at slightly under 150 grams per person per week, and, in contrast to others, increased briefly in the following years. Apart from a short fall before 1984, the amount of consumed chicken continuously grew over 20 years and finished higher than the others at approximately 250 grams per person per week.
