ISIP Town Centre Planning

ISIP Town Centre Planning rLjBL
The maps above are a comparision between the current layout of the town of ISIP and the modifications which have been designed for its' development. While the current structure of ISIP is just a basic town consisting of a main road, a couple of shops, some housing facilities, the countrysideand a school and a park at a certain distance from the main town, the expansion of this township would integrate and modify these by adding a bus station, a shopping centre, a car parking, more housing and by laying out a dual carriageway to improve connectivity. These changes will result in the current main road being converted to a 'pedestrians only' path. This road, which, as of today consists of shops on both sides, will soon see a bus station, a shopping centre, a car park and additional housing to it's north, while the shops in the south will retain their present location. The countryside, which is to the north of the town, will be pushed back due to the carriageway which will surround ISIP. The park which lies in the southwestern region of ISIP will see a reduction in size, as the carriageway coupled with more housing will eat into its' space. In contrast to the current scenario where there is only one road connected to the school which lies to the south of ISIP, the new carriageway make travelling from the town to the school easier while interconnecting it and the housing that lies beside it to the entire town. In a nutshell, a paradigm shift can be seen in the structure of the town centre of ISIP, with the dual carriageway being the most drastic change that can be spotted.
