In many Western countries, there is an increasing number of couples choosing to have no children. What are the advantages and disadvantages to couples having no children? v. 10
For the last few years, there has been an overwhelming increase in couples who tend not to have children. Although this trend has some benefits, it still exits several drawbacks. At the outset, not having babies brings couples advantages. People can save living costs which has to spend on infants if they are given birth. Instead, spouses are capable of utilizing their money for housing rent, going shopping and so on. Besides, without kids, it is likely that their career will be developed. In fact, couples are going to arrange more time for doing business, which helps them address more work and more effectively. As a result, in a short time, they may be promoted and get higher salary. Despite above-mentioned good effects, people no longer avoid disadvantages. Apparently, without the appearance of infants, the happiness of families is not reinforced. According to the WSJ - a well-known American newspaper, the harmony of the families having children is often fostered three times as forcefully as that of the childless ones. Moreover, on special occasions such as Mother' s Day, Father' s Day and so on, childless homes often feel bored and void. Especially, when people get older and weaker, it seems that nobody will take care of them, nobody will become a reliable place for them to bank on whenever they need. Sooner or later, the morbidity and loneliness will kill them. To sum up, not having babies can bring both pros and cons, so spouses should consider carefully before deciding to have children or not.
