The maps illustrate how Meadowside village and Fonton, which are neighbouring towns, have evoluted over three years (1962, 1985 and the present). Overall, at the beginning Fonton was bigger than Meadowside. Moreover, there were no linking roads between the two towns. Whereas, during the last years, the perimeters extended until the two villages mixed in an only one area. In 1962, Meadowside was miniscule in size and it was reached by only two roads coming from the North-side and West. . Instead, Fonton had no any accessible way. However, a railway crossed it. In 1985, which was a small village (Meadowiside) has become larger. In addition, it witnessed a significant increase in building complexes such as residential estate, leisure and super-store. Consequently, the road had been converted into a main road and was also extended to the east to connect with Fonton. Currently, Meadoswide, which is now a suburb, and Fonton are joined. The railway has been extended to the West, where a train station has been built. Finally, a hotel has been constructed to the North of the station and a business park to the South.
