Describe the map showing the developement process of Chorleywood near London.

The map represents the development of the village named Chorleywood between 1868 and 1994, whose population rose steadily across the given period of time. The settlement was quite small thorough the years 1868-1883, however it roughly tripled in size by the year 1922. Chorleywood's development between 1922 and 1970 was similar to the previous one, now covering nearly six times the area from 102 years before. To the main road that split the small town in two parts, a railroad with Chorleywood Station was added in 1909. Thanks to that the village was divided by both of them into three parts. Although a second main road also existed, it was located further away from the settlement. The last and the biggest change, in now quite well developed Chorleywood, occurred across a 24 year period, reaching its final stage in 1994, when the village became nearly 10 times as big as it originally was. A motorway was constructed in 1970, crossing the most recently built areas of the town as well as the almost 90 years old railway.
