The bar chart below is giving information about the residential status of people that are aged 25-34 and live in the UK.
According to the bars and keys, in 2004 about 60 percent of people between the age of 25-34 were homeowners but in 2014 this rate was reduced to about 35 percent.
Based on the reduction of homeowners percentage, we can see that between 2004 to 2014 the number of renters has been increasing by almost 30 percent (from 20 percent to 50 percent). If we compare the increment and decrement of both keys, we realize that the rate of homeowners and renters has changed slightly during the ten years. And also 2007 was the only year that both bars have gone up.
In conclusion, when comparing the bars, it is apparent that in ten years more people between 25-34 were supposed to rent and fewer people in that age group could afford to buy a house.
