The main facts that stand out are that text messages was the most popular form of communication among the teenagers in one US state. Ranked behind are calls on cell phones, talk face to face and email, respectively. Look at the details, it can be clearly seen that the number of youngers using text messages witnessed a marginal escalation in November 2006. After rising slightly to around 37%, it remained stable until February 2008. However, after this year, we can see a steep surge in this features in the September 2009 (from nearly 40% to 55 percent of all teenagers). Otherwise, the figure of young adults using calls on cell phones recorded unchanged throughout the period (just around 38%) In comparison with the two features above, the method of using email to keep in touch with each other seemed to be ineffective and not attracted many teenagers.
